Eric Austin
Eric is an actor, voice actor, improvisor and writer from Irvington, NJ. He holds a BA in Theatre from Morgan State University. He is a touring cast member for The Story Pirates, and a host of their award winning podcast. He also performs improv and comedy show around NYC with Ten Bones Theater, and Random Access Theater, and The Armory.
Jane Best
Jane is a NYC-based music director, pianist, writer, and educator originally from the Philadelphia area. Recent highlights include working as score coordinator/music assistant for Broadway’s Suffs as well as music director/pianist for Norwegian Cruise Line’s SIX: The Musical, Burn the Floor, and Jersey Boys; University of Montana’s Spring Awakening and Assassins; Summer Repertory Theatre’s Cinderella, Pippin, Bonnie and Clyde, and Mamma Mia; and various composition and cabaret projects around the country. She has written or co-written several musicals, including Welcome to the Void (University of Montana) and Spin Rate (Downtown Dance Collective of Missoula). Jane received an MFA in Music Direction at the University of Montana in Missoula, MT and her undergrad degree in Music Education from Gettysburg College.
Elli Caterisano
Elli is an Actor/Singer/Musician/Writer with a strong passion for theater and social justice. She earned her M.F.A. in Acting at the University of Montana, her B.A. in Music from Furman University, and her B.A. in Theatre Arts from Furman University. While in graduate school she apprenticed with Leah Joki’s No Joke Theatre Company at a maximum-security prison in LA County. Margaret Caterisano
Margaret is a Professor of Theatre Arts at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, where she serves as the Costume Designer and Costume Shop Supervisor in the Theatre Arts Department. She earned an M.F.A. in Costume Design from the University of Alabama in 1986. Margaret has also designed costumes for The Warehouse Theatre in Greenville, SC, including Twelfth Night (2023) Witch (2022,) Sense and Sensibility (2021,) and The Crucible (2019.) As a writer, Margaret prefers to tell stories from a woman’s perspective and focus on women’s issues.
Tobie Goldberg
Tobie graduated from Hunter College as a Muse Scholar in 2021. They worked for a number of years a stage manager with Infinite Variety Productions, managing several original works including These Shining Lives, Beyond the Etchings and Displeyst. They returned to Hunter in 2023 to work with the students on department productions like Hughie and Enemy of the People. Most recently they have been working with Carlos Morton, in developing the English adaptation of his play, Caravana, as well as Muddy Mother Murder with other members of Broomstick. In their free time Tobie enjoys crafts, comedy, and peace and quiet.
Sam Nelson
Sam is a proud theatre generalist. He’s worked as an actor, director, dramaturg, designer, technical director, and teacher across the United States. Sam is a scholar/artist who holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Furman University, an M.F.A. in Acting from the University of Alabama, and is currently finishing his Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Arts from Ohio University. Renee Ross
Renee has been a lover of all things ‘pizazz’ her whole life. Her passion for the performing arts translates across many disciplines, like songwriting, singing, dancing and acting. She has been seen in large-scale musicals at regional theaters as well as cozy, intimate venues in New York, sharing her personal and confessional music. Equal to her love of being on stage is her unique calling for children’s dance education and bringing striking choreography to both competitive and recreational studios. She is so excited to be working with Broomstick to bring new and meaningful art to the city!
Cinthya Vargas
Cinthya is a Latina actress, born and raised in Brooklyn. Her parents are from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, and she is fluent in Spanish. She began her acting journey at the City College of New York, where she discovered her passion for acting. Over the past two years, Cinthya has dedicated herself to studying the Meisner technique at the William Esper Studio. She was last seen on stage at Under St. Marks Theatre, where she played Lorraine in Muddy Mother Murder, a new play by Margaret & Eli Caterisano. Most recently, Cinthya made her debut as a writer and producer with her short film Bland, now on the film festival circuit.
Ben Wambeke
Ben is a recent graduate of The University of Montana. Born in small town Wyoming, Ben now works across the states in various regional theaters. He also enjoys choreography, playwriting, and theatre trivia.
